As we explore the best ways to help disenfranchised kids and their scarred communities around the world, we're anxious to keep the discussion open as to how we can make the greatest impact. So feel free to leave a comment, take a gander at what others have written, or propose something we haven't thought of yet.

In Brazil, the Pipa( kite) is a hopful flag, joy engaged and joy recieved at the beauty of a windy day. Blessings to you and all the children who play through the horror and live to love the wind and the rain and the seeds that fruit and feed.(erika)
Love the whole idea, looks like you bring a welcome break from the hard lives these people have well done, all the best. I would love to become more involved in this charity how? even if its providing art work for kites.(Chris)

This project is a fantastic idea. So original. what can we do for Gaza with this project? The state of the children there is horrific. Thanks(sam)
I heard you on The Story talking about recycling plastic bags. Have you considered teaching the kids to make plarn? Plarn ("plastic yarn") is made by cutting up plastic grocery bags and stringing the pieces together; you can find instructions online. You can then knit or crochet all sorts of stuff with it--bags, slippers, basically anything knittable. Knitting needles can be made from sticks, and then you can knit useful items for free.(Susan Moskwa)
I heard you on "the story" today. what you are doing makes me happy and hopeful. i hope your projects continue and flourish. thank you. how much of a donation would it take to make one kite?(Troika)
Thank you so so much! Your joyful project springs the 'refugee' child in all of us. One smile on one of those faces would make it all worth while, but 1,000's!! WOW(Marjorie)

I heard you on "The Story" today. It really made me happy to think of what you're doing for children in such difficult circumstances. Stories like this make me have hope for the future, but more importantly, you're giving THEM hope for the future... Thank you!(cathy)
One of the most creative charities I've ever seen. It's nice to see someone that recognizes that one of every child's basic needs...is to be able to just be a child.(Luke)
